- First time in History of Hamfest India, the delegate registrations crossed 1300+ and had to be forcefully stopped.
- All the delegates were welcomed to the inaugural event by communicating the same using Morse code.
- The Wireless Adviser & Assistant Wireless Adviser to the Govt of India presided as the Chief & Special guest for the first time.
- A Special commemorative envelope was released by the Department of Posts, recognizing the event with a special cancellation.
- All the Radio Clubs of India, whoever participated were honoured with a memento.
- 35% of the delegates were SWLs - Students who have passed ASOC exam and waiting for License.
- All Seminars, Technical Sessions, Exhibitors & Stalls were all Organized Under one Single Roof.
- Indian Railways for the first time welcomed the delegates in the Railway stations by announcing over the public address system for every train that arrived.
- All the delegates were provided comfortable accommodation in the same campus where the event took place..

- Transport arrangements were done both the ways to pick up delegates from Railway Station, Bus stand and Airport.
